Custom Heatsinks


Question:  Can you make a custom heatsink for me that is wider or taller than the profiles you have on your website?

This is a very common question, and therefore is at the top of our FAQ's.  We can cut to length any of our profiles that are already on our website.  We can also in most cases, customize our existing profiles to produce the size and/or shape needed.  We can also machine the heatsinks as well.  In some cases however, to create the perfect heatsink the creation of an extrusion die is required, which can cost into the thousands of dollars.  We purchase new dies and add them to our collection based on customer feedback and requests.  If you are looking at large quantities (1,500 lbs and over) and plan to place orders for the extrusions on a regular basis which would justify the cost to have a die made, we can assist you in this process, please email us at sales@heatsinkusa.com.

Returns Policy

Question:  What is your policy on returns?

Because we custom cut our extrusions to length per order, please be sure your measurements for custom cuts are accurate. If you receive something other than what you ordered, contact us at 1.800.901.2395 or sales@heatsinkusa.com and we will arrange an immediate replacement or refund of all charges. However, if you are requesting an RMA on heatsinks that have been received as ordered; these will be subject to a 30% restocking fee and return shipping will be at the customers expense. Any handling or cut fees are non-refundable.  If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. 

Shipping

Question:  Do you ship outside the United States?

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Question: What are the °C/W ratings for your heatsinks?
